For Your Safety
In order to protect you, our staff and the community, we have adopted the following policy in keeping with NSW Health Guidelines.
Other policies set by the hospital or institution you attend may also apply. These policies may change with little notice due to the evolving situation.
This information is current as of March 08, 2020.
Consulting Rooms
We consult at Prince of Wales Private Hospital and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
If you have an upcoming appointment at our Consulting Rooms please contact our office immediately on 9098 9351 if you belong to any of the following groups:
PLEASE NOTE: If you arrive with any respiratory symptoms, we will not be able to see you and your appointment will be rescheduled.
We will aim to arrange an alternative form of appointment (telephone/telehealth) or reschedule your appointment following any exclusion period. Note that telemedicine appointments currently do not currently attract a Medicare rebate and are only available to patients who cannot attend due to the above criteria.
We have hand hygeine facilities at our Consulting Rooms, but do not have surgical masks available. If you need to wear a surgical mask for any reason, please do not attend in person.
Surgical Procedures
Admission policies at Prince of Wales Public Hospital, Prince of Wales Private Hospital and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse are set by the hospitals themselves. They will usually let you know these policies prior to your admission, but feel to contact them in advance.
If you are unwell, especially from a respiratory tract infection, it is usually best that your surgery is postponed.
Please contact us if you are unwell and have any questions.
